A graduate of Tufts University, Dr. Sherwood Baxt went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from New York University School of Medicine. Subsequently, he completed a surgical and plastic surgery residency at NYU Bellevue Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital, respectively. Dr. Baxt is dual-board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Baxt is affiliated with Valley Hospital in Ridgewood New Jersey and is a member of the following professional organizations:
- Bergen County Medical Society
- New Jersey State Medical Society
- New Jersey Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons
- Fellow of American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Inc.
An author of numerous articles and publications, Dr. Baxt has been featured in Woman’s World Magazine, “My Story,” August, 2002, New Trends in Reduction and Mastopexy, “Breast Reduction Using Liposuction Alone,” 2004, and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Journal, “Liposuction Breast Reduction: A Prospective Trial in African American Women,” February, 2007, among others. In addition, Dr. Baxt has been interviewed on Good Morning America, Discovery Health Channel and Fox Channel 5 regarding new advances in the field of plastic surgery.
Dr. Baxt practices along side his wife, Saida, and daughter, Rebecca, who are both Board Certified Dermatologists.
